Fondazione Rosselli is an independent Italian research institute. Its main activity lies in fundamental research applied to the economic, social and political fields. The Foundation devotes special attention to public policies, both on a national and European level. Other areas of interest are: institutions, public administrations & social policies; technology services and innovation; research & education; industry & finance and public cultural heritage.

Since it was founded in 1988, the Foundation has built a solid reputation both in the academic world as well as the main Italian governmental bodies, with which it shares its knowledge and analyses. This cooperation has earned the foundation a think tank role. Its activities have also found a good application ground in a European context, currently undergoing deep changes in its social structure, in the forms of political assent and in its economic and industrial system.

The Foundation’s research activities are carried out in several centers, which are located in Turin, Milan, Rome and Palermo. Four of theses centers have carried out studies and analyses on issues related to the triple helix model and will actively participate in the organization of the Conference: the Laboratory of the Economy of Innovation dedicated to Franco Momigliano (LEI), the Laboratory of Cognitive, Methodology and Socio Economic Sciences (LaSCoMES), the Center of Science and Technology Policy (CeS&T) and the newly created Foresight Lab.
